Vivo X500 Pro and Pro Max are coming to Europe in November — but the base model isn't
Vivo is bringing its X500 flagship series to Europe on November 5, with pre-orders opening at the October 27 launch event — but only the Pro and Pro Max models are confirmed. The standard X500 is absent from European promotional materials and from the EU's EPREL product database, which registers battery specs before a device can legally go on sale. If you want the base model, you'll need to import it from China.
Pro-only lineup
Three models launched in China on September 21: the X500, X500 Pro, and X500 Pro Max. All three are Vivo X500 Pro Max is the world's first 2nm phone — but don't expect it in the US anytime soon, paired with Zeiss camera systems. Europe, though, gets a trimmed lineup. The EPREL database shows the Pro and Pro Max registered — battery capacities listed — while the standard X500 has no entry at all. Malaysia, by contrast, received SIRIM certification for all three variants, per GSMArena.
One more thing worth watching: Vivo's global X500 phones are coming with noticeably smaller batteries than their Chinese counterparts than their Chinese counterparts. The Chinese Pro Max carries an 8,000 mAh cell — EU battery regulations could force a reduction before retail.
Price and the pre-order discount
European pricing won't be revealed until the October 27 event. In China, the X500 Pro and Pro Max start at around $1,044 (12 GB / 256 GB), while the top-tier Pro Max Creator's Package with 16 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage, and satellite connectivity runs close to $2,000. An early leak from Roland Quandt puts the European Pro Max at roughly €2,199, per Basic Tutorials — treat that as an estimate until Vivo makes it official.
Vivo is running a pre-registration offer ahead of launch. Sign up before November 5 and you get a €120 discount voucher; register after that date and it drops to €80. The promotion runs until November 30 or until voucher stock runs out.
Worth waiting for?
The X500 Pro and Pro Max are serious hardware — 2nm silicon, Zeiss-tuned cameras, and massive batteries put them in the same conversation as the iPhone 17 Pro and Pixel 10 Pro. The catch is price: if the €2,199 estimate holds, the Pro Max sits at the very top of the flagship market. And with EU battery regulations potentially shaving capacity from the headline 8,000 mAh figure, one of the series' clearest selling points could look different on the spec sheet by November 5.
