RedMagic 12 Pro+ launches October 15 with Qualcomm's fastest mobile chip
RedMagic has confirmed October 15, 2026 as the launch date for its next flagship gaming phone, the 12 Pro+. The device will be one of the first to ship with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 — a chip Qualcomm says delivers 13% faster CPU performance, 44% faster GPU, and 35% faster AI processing versus the previous generation. For anyone who games seriously on a phone, this is the biggest hardware jump in the lineup yet.
The chip
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 is the top-tier variant of Qualcomm's 2026 flagship platform, reserved for a handful of devices. RedMagic Red Magic 12 Pro+ locks in Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and 0.96mm bezels, alongside design details that show a meaningful rethink of the phone's form factor. The reveal adds to an already busy year for the brand — its RedMagic 11S Pro tops the AnTuTu charts — and liquid cooling is why earlier in 2026 on the strength of its liquid cooling alone.

The look
RedMagic redesigned the chassis from the ground up. The 12 Pro+ is thinner, lighter, and narrower than the 11 Pro+, with more rounded corners that the company says improve one-handed grip. Display bezels shrink from 1.25mm to 0.96mm — a noticeable step toward an all-screen front. There's no punch-hole camera: a ninth-generation under-display sensor handles selfies instead.
The gaming-specific hardware stays put. Touch triggers on the frame, a dedicated gaming-mode switch, and an upgraded active cooling system with an internal fan all carry over from the previous generation, per Gizmochina.

Availability and price
The announcement covers the China launch only — October 15, 2:30 PM local time. RedMagic has not confirmed US or UK pricing or a global release date. The RedMagic 11 Pro launched at £629 / $749 in November 2025, reports T3, and the Extreme-tier chip here will push costs higher — expect something in the £750–850+ / $850–950+ range when it arrives in Western markets. RedMagic typically follows a China launch with a global rollout four to six weeks later through its own direct-to-consumer warehouse, so a November or December arrival outside China is plausible.
